Clint's First Hike

Dan and I have been just itching to get Clint outside. Yesterday [12/27/09] it was fairly mild out here in the North Country so we decided to take Clint on his first little hike in our backyard woods.  Here are some of the pictures.

He seemed to enjoy it and we just loved it.

As you can see Moose did too.

I know I know where are the Christmas pics ... they are all at Grandma's house.  I forgot my camera!  Keep checking back.  After the 1st the blog will go to subscriber only so send in your email address to crosbikm@potsdam.edu.  I've already received some of them, THANKS!

Warming Clint up to the Mamarazzi for Christmas

Christmas is almost here and yesterday I was trying to prepare Little Clint Man for the mamarazzi [you know paparazzi but it's yo mama].

Being his first Christmas and all, I will probably take way too many pictures.  We are only doing this once, so don't hate.  I double posted this to fb [facebook] some of my friends and family do not fb.

Check out his reaction.  Plus, his first time with sneakies on =]

Freaky ... Weird ... Concerned a little

After my last post some weirdo posted a comment using Chinese script.  [Don't go looking for it I deleted] Of course my Chinese is a little rusty and I have no idea what it said.  BUT when I went to "the person's" blog it was prefaced with GET THIS .... you must be 18 years or older to view the site.  Again everything is in Chinese but still how I am supposed to know what in the world this "person" is all about.  For all I know they are stalkers, child pornography / pedophiles or whatever.

So I am seriously considering making the blog subscribers only.  What that means is everyone has to send their email address to me to be put on THE LIST to view the blog.  I know it takes the fun out of it but I want to keep our family SAFE.    Send your email to crosbikm@potsdam.edu to be included on the list. Have a great Sunday everyone.

Happy Holidays 2009 from The Crosbie's

We would like to wish all of you a Merry Christmas [insert other holiday term should you not celebrate Christmas].  We had a slow start to our decorating this year.

The visit from Mr. and Mrs. Claus helped jump start the process.  Notice the tree is NOT decorated here.

Here are pictures of Dad, Clint and Moose by the tree ...

See you next year

The Whale Tub and Bath Time with Dad

The man's man gave his little man a bath last night.  It was THE sweetest thing I have ever seen.  Since every bath time up until this point has just been me and Clint, I didn't have any pictures.  So, Dan [aka Dad] was invaded by the Mamarazzi and I have several to share.

So Dan likes to call the end of the Whale Tub the jacuzzi side.  Clint enjoying the jacuzzi ...

Dad checking on the little guy

Washing ALL his hair

Back to the regular side of the tub.  Little blurry but I love how Clint is looking at his Dad in this one.

THE END =]

Clint Hearts Grandma

Grandma FINALLY made it home to meet Clint and they hit it off.

Tuesday [11/24/09] was Clint's first day in the activity gym that the fab Admissions Office gave us at our shower.  Grandma was there to share it with him. He loves that Grandma gets right down to his level.

She tells him great stories

And loves to snuggle as much as he does.  We are not sure who wore who out:

Update about Mama and Clint:  We are now into Ziggy Marley's [son of the late Bob Marley] new album Family Time.

This is non-related but I just love it  =]  Press Play you will not regret it!

Sneak Peak at Photo Shoot Album

Carey White Photography - Facebook Page

I wear Lime Green for Dean

In an effort to raise funding for my brother and his family the communities in Northern MN created t-shirts that say I wear lime green for Dean.  Here Clint is sporting a lime green cloth diaper in honor of Dean today.  Despite having MAJOR side effects to one of the investigational cancer treatment drugs and having open heart surgery to repair a leaky heart valve ... he continues with the other treatment that has proven success.  Today is another day of a five hour treatment.  Thankfully, the Professional Grandma [our Mom ] is there to take him and keep him company.  Below is a little video to help entertain them during this long process.

Belly Time

Every day we put Clint in the sunlight to help out with his jaundice.  Today I decided to combine it with Belly Time.  Dan loved this and wanted to "help" Clint enjoy Belly Time.  I could barely stop laughing long enough to film the two of them .. Enjoy!

Clint Scene One

Clint was just released from the NICU and was able to sleep in our room for the rest of our time at Crouse.  Here is the first footage of our little man Clint:

Clint is Here =]

I told you so, there was no more room for Clint in the U-tel.  A week ago today Clint decided to surprise his Mama and Dad and come 5 weeks early.  We were rushed via ambulance to Crouse Hospital so Clint would have access to the NICU.  They were worried about his lungs because he was so early. Luckily, he did not have any problems with his lungs just a little blood sugar issue which was fixed within a day.

It was an amazing experience.  The people at Crouse truly respected my birth plan as much as they could, given the circumstances.  Dan was able to pull Clint out and cut the cord and I became a Mama to a handsome little boy.

Here are the dets:
Born Thursday, October 29, 2009 at 4:22pm
Weighed 5lbs 5oz
Height 18.5"
Full, I mean FULL head of black hair
Long legs and arms that do not stop moving EVER ...Ok when he sleeps SOMETIMES

Here are some pictures:

Crowded Clint

Clint is getting bigger and bigger.  I swear every morning I wake up my stomach is popped out even more.  To my horror my belly button is almost completely popped out.  Just like a turkey button timer.

He is running our of room in the U-tel [uterus-hotel].  The newest not so fun thing is that he gets right on my sciatic nerve [on my back].  It literally brings tears to my eyes.  For three straight days he was position righted there ... I tried everything to get him to wiggle around out of that zone.  I tried stretching, laying on the floor with my legs on the wall and hips up in the air, on all fours doing various yoga poses [down dog, cat posture, etc.]  I even tried crying but nothing worked.  But, amazingly this morning I woke up and he moved in the night.  YAYAYAYAYAY!

Dan said the other night he sick of this and ready for him to be here already.  I had to giggle to myself ... your sick of this well try carrying a  30 lb backup in front of you for a couple days, THEN you will be sick of it.  It is nice to see him getting excited about his arrival.  Of course this has not motivated him to remove the mattress that was originally in Clint's room from the hallway.

So this is the list of things to do over the next couple of weeks:
Pack my bag for the hospital
Pack Clint's bag = DONE
Put the car seat in my truck
Tour the Birth Center
Attend a breastfeeding class
Start having Braxton Hicks contractions - not sure if this has started or not
Wash his cloth diapers - waiting for the "special" laundry soap to arrive to do this

I am sure there is more but I am getting tuckered out ....... off to get our much needed rest

8 more weeks ... wow!

I am now 32 weeks and counting. My body has changed dramatically over the last week or so.  I swear I grow each night.  Per my weekly email from Fit Pregnancy, Clint is weighing in around 4 lbs and 15-17 inches tall at this point.  I just can't imagine there being anymore room for him to grow in there. But the email states I am supposed to gain a pound a week until he is born and about 1/2 of it is Clint.

He is just like his Dad ... a boob man.  He loves to be right under the boobs and in my rib cage this = extremely  uncomfortable days sitting at my desk.  I am "carrying very high" according to all the women in my office.  So once he "drops" I will be a lot more comfortable.  I am still walking everyday and when I am feeling super frisky I do a little strength training.  Just a little something for the arms, bum and thighs.  I miss my morning run and workouts.  Soon I will have another little man to take along with me.  Moose continues to keep me company on the walks these days.

This weekend I plan on doing more laundry for Clint.  We have so many generous friends and family members we continue to get the cutest things for him but I am freak show and want everything washed and fresh for him.  I am also going to place an order for his cloth diapers this weekend.  My close friend gave me wonderful advice about the bum genius all in one 3.0 brand and a great website called Nicki's Diapers.  Super prices and products all in one spot.  Thanks again Frosty!

Midwife appointment on Oct 16th ... I will be presenting our birth plan to her and calling the Birth Center at the hospital to schedule a tour.

Lampson Falls - Sneak Peak

So Mom, Moose and I headed to Lampson Falls to hike. I have to download more pictures but here is one of me that my Mom took with Moose and I at the beginning of the hike.
