Sledding into the New Year

We have been having some great weather.  Great meaning warm enough to bring the little guy out for some major sledding sessions.  Today Grammie joined us and well scroll down to see what happens.

We think he was saying lets go sledding!!

Grammie getting into the mood :)

Of course Moose was there with us!

We had to check out the TRAC-TOR.

Mr. Big Boy

Recently, Clint has been working on feeding himself with a spoon.  This morning I decided to let him give it a try all on his own.  The subject YOGURT.  As you can see it was A LOT of messy fun.  First, he tried the right hand and spoon, then just the left hand and then the left hand and spoon.  He didn't forget to try just drinking it too.  What a fun morning :)  Happy Sunday Everyone!

Clint's First Birthday ParTAY!!!!!!!

We had a Halloween Theme Party for him on October 30, 2010.

It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown Birthday Cake
It's not a party without food.
So of course, we celebrated with Halloween Theme Goodies.

The Halloween Feast included:
Pizza Mummies
Snack O'lanterns
Witches Brew
Popcorn Cake
Candy
Pumpkin Muffins
Apple Cider
Ghoulash
Birthday Cake

We celebrated in costume as a family.

Along with other family and friends
One of my favorite moments of the day!
His first bite of cake.
Our cousin Patti made both cakes for the celebration.
Thanks Patti!

Clint received wonderful gifts, but the best gift was spending the day with family and friends who love him.
Clint's Great Aunt Penny sent him the Birthday Boy shirt.
Thank you to all that attended, those of you who sent birthday wishes/gifts and for just loving him :)

Happy 1st Birthday Clint - 10/29/2010

A year with Clint, how lucky can two people be ...

Friday was the Halloween Parade at daycare [he started daycare on Monday 10/25] on his birthday.  Here are a couple of pictures of the parade.  He is a Monkey but its hard to tell in the bye bye buggy :)

We had his first birthday party on Saturday.  Pictures to follow very soon HOPEFULLY.  Grammie hired a friend of hers to take photos of the party.

PS.  If you click on the photo it will bring it up in another window!

Pickles, Teeth Brushing and We're Home :)

Clint enjoyed many new things while we were on the road in NJ.

He enjoyed the taste of pickles for the first time.
Pickles @ Bobby's Burger Palace ~ Bergen Towne Center Mall

He also learned how to brush his teeth [which he loves btw]:
He loves the Grin & Giggles toothpaste made just for novice teeth brushers

Now he is back home exploring and reconnecting with his home.  He is learning many, many new things and so are we :)

Fall Time Fun

It was a GORGEOUS day here in NJ.  It got up to 70 degrees today.  Mom and I took Clint to Demarest Farms for some Fall Time Fun. We browsed the pumpkins, went through the cornstalk maze, went for a hayride to the pumpkin patch, "picked out" pumpkins and enjoyed apple cider.  It was so much fun and a great way to be outside [NOT in the hotel room].

More From Jersey

We are coming up on four weeks of traveling in NJ for my job [only two weeks left, HALLELUJAH!!].  Lets just say that it has been harder than I thought but we are having a lot of fun too.  Mom and I were discussing yesterday all the "firsts" Clint's mastered since we have been down here.  Here is a small summary of all the things we can remember thus far:

Walking full time and almost running now!

Grammie and Clint leaving the Bergen County Zoo

Clint rode on a train for the first time:

 SKYPE-ing with family:

Starting to move beyond baby food.

Scooting off couches, beds and laps to get down all by himself.

Crawling under and climbing up anything he can:

Adventures in NJ

Many of you know Clint and Grammie are with me this year to recruit students in NJ for my job.  We are having a great time BUT we miss Dan [Dada] A LOT!

He is now 10 months old ... he started walking full time last week and has two more teeth on the top [finally].  His bottom two teeth came in when he was 7 months old so its taken a looooong time for these two to arrive.

Here are some recent pictures of our guy Clint.

Trying to show us his dimples :)

 Morning mischief
 See my new teeth everybody

On the go in our hotel room.

Clint Hearts Cheerios

A lot has happened over the last several months.  At 6 months {May} he started crawling full force.  Seven months {June} not ONE but TWO teeth emerge.  He went on his first road trip with Mama to a conference in Saratoga Springs. He also learned to crawl up all the stairs to our second floor.  This month {July} marks 8 months he is standing almost by himself and saying Mama and Dada now.  He also became a avid hiker with our first family vacation to Bar Harbor, Maine.  AND AND ...

I could barely wait to see my little Bugaboo try Cheerios. But he is now eating them like a professional [well sorta].  Grammie caught him on film.  I just love the photos.

You want me to try that hahahaha

Ok I guess it could be good ...
Let me see if I can get it in my mouth
Success ... its good give me more, give me more!
Well we started to call him Bean or Beaner.  It's short for Busy Bean because he NEVER, EVER sits idle not even in his sleep!!!

When I have more time I plan to post pictures of our first family vacation in Maine.

Keep enjoying the summer everybody!!

Crazy Clint Crosbie

Clint is now seven months and 6 days old.  We've been having a lot of fun with him lately.  He is crawling at full speed.  He just loves Moose [and his food] so much, he smiles and talks to him and tries to throw his toys for him.  His also loves pulling himself up.  He just squeals and giggles when he does it.

He is now eating veggies and cereal.  I tried to feed him pears and peaches.  He does NOT like them at all for now.  I suppose I will try again in another week or so.

We had a family shopping trip to Wal-Mart and we decided to buy him a bouncy ball.  I am not sure he likes it. Watch the video and see if you can figure it out.

I know I love his giggle too.

Clint is such a great kid.  I take him for 4+ mile runs/walks and he never fusses.  I was starting to feel guilty, poor kid goes and never gets to do anything on these excursions.

So, I decided we would walk to the park and see if he was ready to partake.  Grammie was up for walking down and meeting us too.  Thankfully, she took these great photos of his first time at the park.

He was not too impressed with the swing.  Grammie as the voice of Clint ... "Mama this is dumb I can't even reach the ground."

We went down the slide together

Gram even got in on the action

He tried climbing the rock wall

We were on the swing together

Also Clint showed his riding talents on the bug rider thingy

It will be fun to go back again on a warmer day and when he is a little bigger.  But for now, we are enjoying him being "little".

I hope everyone is doing well and starting to enjoy summer!
