Crowded Clint

Clint is getting bigger and bigger.  I swear every morning I wake up my stomach is popped out even more.  To my horror my belly button is almost completely popped out.  Just like a turkey button timer.

He is running our of room in the U-tel [uterus-hotel].  The newest not so fun thing is that he gets right on my sciatic nerve [on my back].  It literally brings tears to my eyes.  For three straight days he was position righted there ... I tried everything to get him to wiggle around out of that zone.  I tried stretching, laying on the floor with my legs on the wall and hips up in the air, on all fours doing various yoga poses [down dog, cat posture, etc.]  I even tried crying but nothing worked.  But, amazingly this morning I woke up and he moved in the night.  YAYAYAYAYAY!

Dan said the other night he sick of this and ready for him to be here already.  I had to giggle to myself ... your sick of this well try carrying a  30 lb backup in front of you for a couple days, THEN you will be sick of it.  It is nice to see him getting excited about his arrival.  Of course this has not motivated him to remove the mattress that was originally in Clint's room from the hallway.

So this is the list of things to do over the next couple of weeks:
Pack my bag for the hospital
Pack Clint's bag = DONE
Put the car seat in my truck
Tour the Birth Center
Attend a breastfeeding class
Start having Braxton Hicks contractions - not sure if this has started or not
Wash his cloth diapers - waiting for the "special" laundry soap to arrive to do this

I am sure there is more but I am getting tuckered out ....... off to get our much needed rest

8 more weeks ... wow!

I am now 32 weeks and counting. My body has changed dramatically over the last week or so.  I swear I grow each night.  Per my weekly email from Fit Pregnancy, Clint is weighing in around 4 lbs and 15-17 inches tall at this point.  I just can't imagine there being anymore room for him to grow in there. But the email states I am supposed to gain a pound a week until he is born and about 1/2 of it is Clint.

He is just like his Dad ... a boob man.  He loves to be right under the boobs and in my rib cage this = extremely  uncomfortable days sitting at my desk.  I am "carrying very high" according to all the women in my office.  So once he "drops" I will be a lot more comfortable.  I am still walking everyday and when I am feeling super frisky I do a little strength training.  Just a little something for the arms, bum and thighs.  I miss my morning run and workouts.  Soon I will have another little man to take along with me.  Moose continues to keep me company on the walks these days.

This weekend I plan on doing more laundry for Clint.  We have so many generous friends and family members we continue to get the cutest things for him but I am freak show and want everything washed and fresh for him.  I am also going to place an order for his cloth diapers this weekend.  My close friend gave me wonderful advice about the bum genius all in one 3.0 brand and a great website called Nicki's Diapers.  Super prices and products all in one spot.  Thanks again Frosty!

Midwife appointment on Oct 16th ... I will be presenting our birth plan to her and calling the Birth Center at the hospital to schedule a tour.

Lampson Falls - Sneak Peak

So Mom, Moose and I headed to Lampson Falls to hike. I have to download more pictures but here is one of me that my Mom took with Moose and I at the beginning of the hike.

Laundry = Fun??

We started to get Clint's room together. The crib is up and most of his stuff is in the room. This weekend I plan on organizing everything and taking PICTURES to put up on the blog. I am washing many of his little items today. I have to say this is the only time I actually have ENJOYED doing laundry. Dan and I agree it just becomes more and more real as his room takes shape.

My wonderful girlfriends Heather and Jules threw an over the top baby shower for us Labor Day weekend. Everyone was so generous and thoughtful. I was so overwhelmed with emotion. I truly felt so loved and lucky to have such great friends and family members to share this experience. I have one picture to share. Behind me is the Mad Lib game we played which was H-I-L-A-R-I-O-U-S. It reads that I will have the baby in Wal-Mart and he will be 28 lbs and 5 inches long. It was a really funny game. My girls are so creative.

I am going into my 31st week of pregnancy this week. The books say he is about 3 lbs and 15 or more inches long. He is still keeping busy. His favorite time is about 7pm at night. He gets going around that time every night for about an hour then he is all tuckered out for the night and so am I. I have a midwife appointment on Monday and our first childbirth preparation class Monday night. I meet with one of the pediatricians we are considering for Clint on Tues. I also have one more interview on Thurs for a job opportunity I applied for back in August. Its going to be a busy week.

It is a beautiful day here in the North Country and the leaves are just ravishing. I can't help but want to get out there and enjoy nature. I just love this time of year! I am hoping to store up some energy this morning to go hiking with Moose and my Mom this afternoon. I am thinking either Stone Valley Trail or Lampson Falls.

Bar Habah

We headed to Bar Harbor [or Bar Habah as the locals like to call it] for July 4th. We had a great time and did not want to return back to the North Country so soon. Below are some of the pictures of our trip.

This is our campsite at the Bar Harbor Campground.

Moose making himself right at home at the campsite.

During our first hike ... little challenging.

Us on the sail boat The Margaret Todd

Our family sailing on The Margaret Todd - Clint is there too in my belly =].
