Monkey See Monkey Do

We are really enjoying watching Clint grow and develop.  He loves to take showers "by himself" and he is really into shaving.  He practiced on himself first then "helped" Dada shave the next day.

Clint is also becoming quite the little helper in the kitchen, but you have to be careful that what you are making actually gets to baking.  See photos below, he is helping Meme make bread.
He calls my mom Meme because he couldn't say Grammie at first and it stuck.

Here is actual footage of him helping Meme

On our bucket list for the fall ... Watch Dada motocross race, take Clint hiking at Lampson Falls, visit the Goodwin's Orchard again for apple and pumpkin picking, and of course celebrate Clint turning two.  By the way he is a little over 30 lbs and has the vocabulary of a 3 year old.  Be careful what you say because it's definitely monkey see monkey do around here :)

Motorcycles, Musical Artist and More

It's been way too long since our last post.  But I have some really nice things to share with all of you.  We have been going full force into motorcycle mania.  Clint and Dan ride motorcycle morning and night while Dan tries to teach me to ride on the smallest bike on the planet.  Hey don't judge it is harder than it looks ;)  Below is a video of Clint and Dan the best part is towards the end around the 29-37sec mark.

Here is all of us riding together.

We now have a budding singer on our hands.  Every night before bedtime I sing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star to my little peanut.  I had no idea he was really listening until I heard him singing it one day.  He just sings Twinkle Star, Twinkle Star but it just makes me melt into a puddle of love for this little man.  I wish I could upload the recording for you all to hear but I can't figure it out.

He is soooo busy and learning everything so fast.   Ok that is all for now, more next time!

18 Months

We can't believe he is already 18 months.  He had his 18 month wellness check up today.  He is still in the 75 percentile for height and weight at 32 3/4 " and  27lbs 14.8 oz.

This was on his assessment sheet from Dr. T.

Development
This is what the doctor's states ... This is the real deal
Runs awkwardly ... Runs everywhere
Able to throw objects ... You mean he can place items gently
Walks upstairs with help ... Walks upstairs & downstairs sometimes w/ help
Begins imaginary play ... Everything is some sort of tractor for riding on
Begins to kick and throw a ball ... This is only if he likes the ball [see video]

Here some recent photos and video courtesy of Grammie

Thank you Clint and Dada for loving me.  I am so grateful and lucky!!

We think he was saying lets go sledding!!

Mr. Big Boy

Recently, Clint has been working on feeding himself with a spoon.  This morning I decided to let him give it a try all on his own.  The subject YOGURT.  As you can see it was A LOT of messy fun.  First, he tried the right hand and spoon, then just the left hand and then the left hand and spoon.  He didn't forget to try just drinking it too.  What a fun morning :)  Happy Sunday Everyone!

Clint's First Birthday ParTAY!!!!!!!

We had a Halloween Theme Party for him on October 30, 2010.

It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown Birthday Cake
It's not a party without food.
So of course, we celebrated with Halloween Theme Goodies.

The Halloween Feast included:
Pizza Mummies
Snack O'lanterns
Witches Brew
Popcorn Cake
Candy
Pumpkin Muffins
Apple Cider
Ghoulash
Birthday Cake

We celebrated in costume as a family.

Along with other family and friends
One of my favorite moments of the day!
His first bite of cake.
Our cousin Patti made both cakes for the celebration.
Thanks Patti!

Clint received wonderful gifts, but the best gift was spending the day with family and friends who love him.
Clint's Great Aunt Penny sent him the Birthday Boy shirt.
Thank you to all that attended, those of you who sent birthday wishes/gifts and for just loving him :)
