Our Chunky Monkey

I know, I know it has been too long. Clint had his 4 month check up last week and the STUPID booster shots. He was a tough guy this time he only cried a little bit.

He now weighs a whooping 15lbs 3 oz and is 23 3/4" tall. He is "very social" according to the pediatrician. But, there is a small concern with his left foot. It appears to turn in slightly [she gave us a medical term for it but I can't remember it right now]. Anywhoo he has to go to Syracuse to see an orthopedic pediatric specialist in April. I am hoping this is a proactive / preventive trip and everything will "work itself out".

Clint is getting more and more cute and vocal by the minute. He loves to chatter with just about everyone these days. Sleeping better during the nights and eating a little [1 tablespoon] of cereal at dinner time with Mama's milk. Nothing to crazy its simply just a taste. He was getting pretty curious when Dan and I would be eating dinner in front of him.

Why we love him ...

He makes crazy faces and expressions

He is super cool

He knows how to chill out

He is ours ... the end!

We've Been Busy

Our little man has been busy getting bigger, sleeping longer and doing NEW things.  We are just in awww of him most days.

Clint's newest addition to his toys is a Johnny Jump Up and he loves it ... before he constantly wanted Dan and I to bounce and jump with him. Now he is able to do it himself [well kinda with a little help from Mama and Dada].  He is so cute in it. I just love seeing his little eyes dance while he plays in it.

Here is an action photo of the Johnny Jump Up

Couple "calmer" shots

He has learned to grip, shake and mouth his toys.  He just loves his moose toy Mortimer from his MN cuzzies, Ella and Alex.

Yesterday, he recognized himself in the mirror and Grammie was there to help him figure it out.

I head back to work next Monday.  It doesn't seem fair.  He is finally doing all these cool things and he is very interactive.  There is something to be said about going back to work after 6 weeks.  After 3 months he has a little personality, recognizes me, smiles and plays.  Before he just slept and cuddled which is nice but come on ....

The Roll Over

Clint is becoming more and more active.  He recently started rolling over.  I am not sure if he quite knows what he is doing because he acts sooo surprised, but it's so darn cute.  Video for all see is below.  I didn't have the best lighting sorry, but you get to see him in action =]

He is sleeping longer stretches at night {YIPPEEEE} which couldn't come at a better time as I will be going back to work the first week of Feb.  He will be 3 months old by then.  He is starting to coo, smile, giggle and recognize my face which just melts my heart to say the least.

2 Months Old

Clint turned two months old Dec 29, 2009.  So we headed to his pediatrician for his 2 month check and his STUPID shots on Dec. 30, 2009. Ugh, watching him get his shots was HORRIBLE. Poor little bugger.

He is now 11lbs and 21.5" tall.  His pediatrician is impressed with his growth since he was preemie.  Weighing only 5lbs 5oz at birth and 18.5" tall, when we brought him home he weighed 5lbs, down to 4lbs 15 oz and then up to 6lbs.  So he is growing , HOORAY!!

He still has ALL of his hair and his eyes remain to be blue.  The jury is still out on his eye color.  I have brown eyes and Dan has blue, so we wait.

We are enjoying watching his personality develop.  He loves to be held and entertained.  Favorite activities include couch sliding, flying around the Christmas Tree, climbing the belly mountain [pillow on the couch] and working out in his activity gym  .

Here is a clip of our little man entertaining us at two months old.  Turn up your volume as you can hear him starting to chat with us.
